Coral Princess
was the first of two cruise ships in this class built for Princess
Cruises. Her sister ship Island Princess entered service
in 2003; there may be other ships in this class built at a later date.
This more modest design of ship follows Princess Cruises five 110,000-ton
Grand Princess class that began entering service in 1998 with the
final ship completed in 2004. Grand Princess was the
largest passenger ship in the world when she entered service in 1998.
Coral Princess
and Island Princess have 12 passenger decks, 3 pools,
8 bars, casino, fitness center, 688-seat theatre, 879 outside cabins
of which 737 have verandas, 108 inside cabins, can carry 1,974 passengers
and a crew of 895.
Coral Princess
is operated on 7 night cruises between Vancouver & Whittier/Alaska,
and 10&15 night cruises out of Fort Lauderdale - Costa Rica, Mexico,
Caribbean, Panama Canal & South America.
Island
Princess is operated on 7 night cruises between Vancouver &
Whittier/Alaska. Another route for Island Princess is 15
night cruises from Los Angeles - Hawaii.
Princess
two 116,000-ton cruise ships Diamond Princess and Sapphire
Princess entered service in 2004. These two ships that
are a modified version of the Grand class are their largest so far.
