Century was the third new cruise ship to enter service for Celebrity Cruises. This is a one off design that followed the two midsize 46,811-ton Horizon class ships that entered service in 1990 and 1992. Century is the first cruise ship built for Celebrity that comes into the category of a large cruise ship.

Century has 10 passenger decks, 3 pools, 8 bars, casino, fitness center, 900-seat theatre, 562 outside cabins of which 61 have verandas, 315 inside cabins, can carry 1,750 passengers and a crew of 858.

Century is mainly operated on 4 & 5 night cruises out of Miami - Caribbean. Other routes are 10 & 11 nights out of Barcelona - various ports throughout the Mediterranean, and 12 nights out of Amsterdam - Eastern Europe & Scandinavia.
