Loch Fishing

Springwater Fishery is situated about 5 miles east of Ayr. You can find the fishery by taking the A713 from Ayr and after about three miles take the B742 to Dalrymple. This stocked fishery that is open all year offers bank fishing for rainbows, browns and steelheads. There is a tackle shop that provides tackle, snacks and lessons. Dalvennan Country Sports Fishery is situated about 8 miles southeast of Ayr. Directions are to take the A713 from Ayr to Patna then follow signs from Patna via the hill road to Kirmichael. This stocked fishery that is open all year offers bank fishing for rainbows, browns and steelheads. Prices are £16 per day with a limit of 4 fish, £8 for 4 hours with a limit of two fish and £6 for 4 hours catch and release. The licensed clubhouse serves hot and cold snacks all day. Coyle Water Fishery is situated about 5 miles east of Ayr, 1 mile north of Coylton off the A70. Prices for this stocked loch are about £16.00 for 8 hours with a maximum of four fish, £10 for four hours with a maximum of two fish, catch and release thereafter. Catch and release only from £7. Open all year, Annbank Fishery is situated at the edge of the village of Annbank about 4 miles east of Ayr. Visit the fishery by taking the A70 from Ayr, and after 3 miles take the B744 to Annbank. The 2 acre lochan is regularly stocked with Grade 1 rainbow, blue and brown trout, weighing minimum 2lbs into double figures. Ticket prices start at £8. Disabled access and toilets. Tarbolton Fishery is situated on the west side of Tarbolton about 7 miles north east of Ayr. Directions are: from the first roundabout on the A77, 2 miles north of Ayr at the end of Prestwick airports runway, take the A719 and follow signs for Tarbolton. Craufurdland Fishery is situated 3 miles south of Fenwick on the east side of Kilmarnock. Directions are to take the road from the south of Fenwick with signs for Waterside and travel strait on till you reach the entrance to Craufurdland Estate. This stocked fishery that is open all year round offers bank & boat fishing for rainbows, browns and golden trout. Prices are £14 per day with a limit of four fish and £8 for 4 hours with a limit of 2 fish. There is a tackle shop that provides refreshments and lessons. Haylie Trout fishery is situated about two miles east of Largs off the A760 Dalry Road. The A760 branches off Irvine Road to the south of Largs centre at the Haylie Hotel. This stocked loch that is open all year offers bank fishing for rainbows and browns. Refreshments and tackle are available. Middleton Fishery is situated about three miles northeast of Largs. Directions are from Greenock Road a few hundred yards north of Largs centre take Douglas Street; this street leads to Brisbane Glen Road where the fishery is situated.
