The Malt Cross
The Malt Cross is a large bar/diner
that opened in 2008 serving inexpensive
meals throughout the day and becoming a
popular bar at night. Meals are served
all day with specials such as 2 for
£7.25. Real ales are served on tap,
two of which are from a local Brewing
Company. Thursday night is Quiz Night as
well as Curry Night with a curry and
selected drinks for £5.99. Friday is
Karaoke night and Saturday nights have a
Live DJ.

West Kirk
The West Kirk, situated at the top of
the Sandgate, is a converted church
making a large roomy pub that serves
meals throughout the day, also popular
for a drink at night before the
nightclubs open.
This former Free Church was built in
1845. Known as the West Kirk, it closed
in 1981, but its name lives on in this
Wetherspoon pub.

Treehouse
The Treehouse serves meals throughout
the day and is popular with revellers at
night. This bar/diner is situated on the
corner of the Sandgate and Boswell Park
just across the road from the West Kirk.
Tuesday is Quiz Night from 9.30pm with
Free Lite Bites at half time. Wednesday
is Karaoke night from 9.30pm and Saturday
is Club Night club classic & chart
favourites with a twist.

Boswells
Boswells is situated on the corner of
Boswell Park and Arthur Street, just
along from the Treehouse. This bar/diner
also serves meals throughout the day
before becoming one of Ayr’s trendy
bars at night. Meals are served 11.30 -
20.00 each day with children welcome.
There is a DJ Disco Wednesday - Sunday
21.00 - 24.00. Discount passes for

later in the night. This bar normally
plays rock music at nights hence the
name. Situated on Nile Court off the High
