on the south side of Ayr are about weekdays £23,
weekends £28. Day tickets that can be used for
two rounds on Belleisle or one on Belleisle and one
on the neighbouring Seafield course cost about
weekdays £34, weekends £38. Six round
passes for any of eight South Ayrshire municipal
courses cost about £88. Belleisle is regarded by
many as one of the finest parks courses in Scotland.

Rowallan Castle Golf Course
Stretching to 7000 yards from the Championship
tees, Rowallan is a modern classic set in a 600 acre
estate on the north side of Kilmarnock. The course
was designed by Colin Montgomery and opened in 2008.
Prices for the course are about £65 per round or
£40 per round afternoon, discounts for group

St Cuthbert Golf Club/Prestwick
The 6,470 yard St Cuthbert Golf Club is situated
on the east side of Prestwick. This is a fine tree
lined course with no thick rough. Summer prices are
about £30 per round or £40 per day, winter
prices can be obtained by phone or email. Bookings

Brunston Castle Golf Club
The 6,662-yard par 72 Brunston has a few water
features with one being the River Girvan. Prices for
Brunston are about £30 per round £50 per
day weekdays and £35 per round £55 per day
weekends. This championship standard course is
situated about 16 miles southeast of Ayr off the B741

The 6,000 yard par 69 Annanhill is situated on the
west side of Kilmarnock off Irvine Road. This is a
fine looking course with many fairways being lined
with trees. Two exceptional looking holes, 5th &
14th, are overlooked by the Annanhill Mansion. Prices

The 5,972-yard par 70 Ballochmyle is situated
about two miles northeast of Mauchline off the B705.
This is another fine looking course with tree lined
fairways. Prices are about £20 per round
£30 per day weekdays and £25 per round
£35 per day on Sunday, Saturday is for members
only. The clubhouse offers full catering and bar

Loudoun Gowf Club
The 6,016-yard par 69 Loudoun is situated 5 miles
east of Kilmarnock on the outskirts of Galston. This
course gets more interesting looking each year as the
trees that line the fairways mature. The 12th hole
may be the most memorable as you have to cross the
same burn twice to reach the green. The course, bar
and catering facilities are open to visitors on
weekdays only. Prices are around £20 per round
